Monday Night Madden 2013 (Week 8)

San Francisco 49ers (5-2) @ Arizona Cardinals (4-3)

Madden Score: San Francisco 49ers 26 – Arizona Cardinals 24

Madden Analysis: The 49ers go into the 4th quarter with a 23-10 lead and nearly blow it as the Cardinals rally behind their offense to put up 14 straight points and take a 1 point lead. Alex smith drives down the field late in the 4th quarter to set up the game winning field goal as the 49ers escape an upset in Arizona.

San Francisco 49ers team leaders

  • A. Smith – 23/28/242 and 1 TD

  • F. Gore – 16/93, 1 TD and 1 FUMBLE

  • V. Davis – 6/60
  • M. Crabtree – 5/85
  • M. Manningham 2/32 and 1 TD

Arizona Cardinals

  • J. Skelton – 22/32/259 1 TD and 1 INT

  • L. Stevens-Howling – 15/72 1 TD and 1 FUMBLE

  • L. Fitzgerald – 6/102
  • L. Stevens-Howling – 4/33 and 1 TD
  • A. Roberts – 4/33 and 1 TD

Kick Return

  • P. Peterson – 2/120 and 1 TD

My analysis: Alright, I agree with Madden’s pick with the 49ers winning tonight, however I think the 49ers defense is a lot better giving up much less than 23 points. Also, the Cardinals offense has struggled greatly this year giving up plenty of sacks. The 49ers open up a two game lead in the NFC West by winning tonight. I take the 49ers over the Cardinals 23-10.

Monday Night Madden 2013 (Week 5)

Houston Texans (4-0) @ New York Jets (2-2)

Madden score: Houston Texans 30 – New York Jets 17

Our analysis: This weeks matchup features one of the leagues best defenses and one of the leagues worst offenses. Personally I am not that excited about this game because I see the Texans winning in a blowout. Madden gets the correct winner this week, but I don’t think there will be as much offense in this one as Madden predicts. I expect a better defensive showing for the Jets than we have seen so far as this is big stage Monday Night Football and the game is in New York. The offensive struggles continue for the Jets against one of the best defenses in the league. I have the Houston Texans 26 – New York Jets 16. Don’t be surprised if this one doesn’t end up in another blowout.
